Purple is officially live 💜

This time… we’re really there 🎉

Purple is now available on the App Store and Google Play. The real version. Not a beta, not a test version. A public version, available to everyone, that you can download and start using right now. It’s a big step for us, because until now, everything was still happening behind the scenes.

👉 If you were still using the test version, make sure to download the official version: iPhone or Android.

It wasn’t easy (not at all)

I thought the hardest part would be building the app. The design, the features, all the technical side… everything you actually see.

In reality, the hardest part was getting it approved. Especially on Apple’s side. We got rejections, feedback, things to fix… sometimes small details, sometimes much bigger issues. We had to understand what was expected, adapt, fix, resubmit, wait… and sometimes start over again.

It wasn’t just a formality. It was a real process, with frustrating moments, but also necessary improvements that pushed us further.

We had to adapt the app along the way

Because of that, we added features earlier than planned. For example, the ability to block a user.

Today, it feels obvious. But at the beginning, it wasn’t there yet. And in reality, it’s a basic feature. Being able to decide not to see someone anymore, not appear to them, and stay in control of your experience… it’s essential.

It’s also something Apple clearly expects from this kind of app. So we implemented it, and looking back, it made Purple better from day one.

Now it’s becoming real

Until now, we were mostly the ones using the app. Now it’s starting to come to life… and it’s really cool to see.

We’re seeing profiles coming in, first matches, conversations starting. It’s no longer just a project we’re working on behind the scenes. It’s becoming something real, with real people, real interactions, real conversations.

And that’s exactly what we wanted.

Now we can really move forward

The biggest blocker was getting the app live. As long as it wasn’t approved, we were holding back a bit. Testing, fixing… but not really able to push things forward fully.

Now that it’s done, everything changes.

We can finally start marketing, bring more people in, give visibility to the app. A lot of new girls will join in the coming days and weeks, and that’s when Purple will really start evolving in real conditions.

We’re moving out of test mode. This is real now.

What’s coming next

We already have a lot planned for what’s next. Improvements to the overall experience, new features, and updates that will make the app even more enjoyable to use.

We’ll move step by step, but much faster than before. And most importantly, we’ll rely on your feedback to keep improving Purple in the right direction.

The goal isn’t to freeze the app, but to keep evolving it continuously.

The vision is clear

Purple wasn’t created to be just another app on your home screen.

The goal is to make it a real reference. An app you naturally open when you feel like meeting new people, chatting, sharing your daily life…

A bit like Tinder… but for friendship between girls.

Because today, making new friends isn’t that easy. And yet, it’s something we all need.
