At Purple, we believe in creating meaningful connections built on respect, authenticity, and kindness. These guidelines help ensure that everyone can feel safe and welcome in our community. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
Be Authentic
- Use your real name and photos
- Be honest about your intentions
- Don't create fake or misleading profiles
- Represent yourself accurately
Stay Safe
- Never share personal financial information
- Be cautious about sharing your location
- Report suspicious behavior immediately
- Meet in public places for first dates
Respect Others
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect
- Accept 'no' gracefully
- Don't harass or pressure anyone
- Respect boundaries and preferences
Communicate Kindly
- No hate speech or discriminatory language
- Don't send unsolicited inappropriate content
- Keep conversations respectful
- Be patient and understanding
Photo Guidelines
- Only upload photos you have the right to use
- No nudity or sexually explicit content
- No photos of minors (unless you're in them)
- No violent or graphic imagery
Zero Tolerance
- No spam, scams, or commercial solicitation
- No promotion of illegal activities
- No threats or intimidation
- No sharing of other users' private information
Reporting Violations
If you encounter behavior that violates our guidelines, please report it immediately. You can report a user or content directly within the app, or contact our Trust & Safety team.
Enforcement
We take violations of our Community Guidelines seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, consequences may include:
- WarningFor minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning explaining the violation.
- SuspensionRepeated or moderate violations may result in a temporary suspension of your account.
- BanSevere violations or continued misconduct will result in a permanent ban from Purple.
We review all reports carefully and make decisions based on the context and severity of each situation. Our goal is to maintain a positive community while being fair to all users.
